Sweet It Is to Race At Warragul

Champion greyhound Sweet It Is will make her debut at Warragul Greyhound Racing Club on Tuesday night  14th July, in the Endeavour Locksmiths Quality 680m event at 8.28 p.m. Given the right conditions the track record for 680m looks under threat.  Sweet It Is has raced 62 times for 21 wins and 21 minor places for $882,650 dollars in prize money. Sweet It Is became greyhound racing’s highest stake earner when she claimed her second Group 1 Sandown Cup in May. Since then she has travelled to New Zealand where she claimed the prestigious Silver Collar race at Auckland breaking the track record in her heat win.  Sweet It Is starting from box 7 will not have it all her own way at Warragul as she meets the very smart Shanlyn Lucy (8) and the consistent Coulta Rock (1). Sweet It Is tends to drop out in her races and unleashes a devastating mid race burst, she is locked in a battle with the all conquering Fernando Bale as they both race towards becoming Greyhound Racings first ever million dollar dogs.  Fernando Bale has now won its last 15 races in succession for total prize money of $681,840   Fernando Bale is in the early part of his career whilst Sweet It Is is nearing the end of her racing career.
