High fives all round as girls get into the groove

Warragul Greyhound Racing Club will make a generous donation to two of its local hospitals following a very successful Girl’s Night Out last weekend.

Fifteen hundred dollars will be distributed between the La Trobe Valley and West Gippsland Hospitals’ paediatric wards, following the event which raised funds for the Give Me 5 for Kids charity.

Nearly 100 women attended the function at Warragul where they were entertained by a Las Vegas style comedy show, as well as a DJ, photo booth and guest appearance from local radio stars, Mandy and Elliott from Star FM.

A percentage of the money from all tickets sold, as well as the money raised from a raffle held during the night was donated to the local hospitals.

The greyhound club was thrilled by the positive feedback received from people who attended the event.

Warragul GRC Manager Adrian Scott acted as MC on the night, and was delighted with the outcome.

“The highlight was the Fashions on the Track, which got everyone into the groove, and to be able to raise significant funds for an important local cause was terrific,” Adrian said.
