Jason Thompson will head into next Saturday’s Group Two $67,000 Warragul Cup (460m) with half of the field, after qualifying four greyhounds in Warragul’s richest race of the year.
Sleek Master started Thompson’s big night in the first Warragul Cup heat, jumping from box three. Aqua Cheeta was the surprise package, defeating pre-race favourite Zambora Brockie to record a strong victory from box four.
Aston Dee Bee finished second in the last heat of the Warragul Cup behind Queenlander Zabdon Ferrari, making it through to his first group race in his 10 start career (six wins and 3 minor placings).
