David Geall headlines the $10,710 GRV Vic Bred Maiden Final at Warragul tonight with three talented greyhounds from the same litter.
Up Hill Jill looks to be David’s best chance in the 460 metre feature after recording a near best of the night time of 25.89sec in her heat win last week.

“Up Hill Jill is slightly quicker than the other two from the litter in the race. All three a quick early which concerns me because I don’t want them to interfere with each other,” Trainer David Geall explained.
David and his wife Rose, who bred the Premier Fantasy and Where’s Demonica litter have a history with GRV Vic Bred Finals, after finishing first and third in the Sale GRV Vic Bred Final in 2015 with Striker Klinsman and his litter brother Harry Steiger (Replay), this year they are hoping to go one better.
“It is really exciting to have a litter with as much early pace as these guys. Saying that this is a very tough field considering it is a maiden final.”
“Lizzie Fields, who is trained by Darren Pattinson is a young and strong greyhound and Peter Dapiran has a dog called Cain Of Fire who is a very promising greyhound.”
David believes Up Hill Jill and Miss Morrisset have showed enough to suggest they can feature in the city at some point.
“It is very rewarding having three of the eight greyhounds from the Where’s Demonica litter in this race. It would be really great to win another one!”
The GRV Vic Bred Maiden Final isn’t the only feature race Warragul has on it’s 12 race card – Gerry O’keeffe’s greyhound Bells Are Ringin headlines the Topcat Video special event which is run over the 680 metre distance.
Racing kicks off tonight at 6.42pm.
